Antique Georgian Period Campaign Cellaret on Legs
This antique Cellaret is an original period item of furniture made around the 1790's period & it looks like a colonial item (Anglo-Indian). It's a Campaign piece & is all original except that the inside dividers are more recent. These items were made to made to store bottles of alcoholic beverages such as wine & whisky. The construction is of solid teak with all the original brass corner fittings & inset carrying handles. It comprises of the square box section, which just sits on to of the original base. This Cellaret has a wonderful original colour & patina, both on the wood & brass work, so it's full of character. It's also a very rare item, being a campaign military piece. Also the condition is excellent for an item over 200 years old.
Width - 15", 38 cm
Depth - 15", 38 cm
Height - 30.3", 77 cm
As with all of my items, one might find the odd indentation or marking consistent with the age of the item, so please don't expect new looking antiques. Everything is restored & polished when needed, but I would rather leave as much originality & character as possible.

Domestic & Overseas Shipping Arranged
Please contact us for a delivery quote before bidding. As a rough guide, most of the furniture items we sell can be sent to the majority of places in England for around £50-£80, but there can be exceptions for more out of the way places, or extremely large pieces, so please always ask. Wales & Scotland may be a bit more. We only ship at cost price, and do our best to get a good deal for our customers.
For overseas shipping most companies charge extra for insurance, between 1.5% & 2.5% of the invoice value. For all deliveries, we will require a full postcode and a telephone number. On most shipments, we ask that you pay the courier or shippers direct - that way you know we only ship at cost. Also, we ask that you communicate directly with each other once the goods have left our premises. Obviously, we will help and advise where we can.
