Here is a nice Antique Cuckoo Clock that is running and striking as expected for your buying consideration.  Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself!

Wow folks, these beauties do not come to the market very often.  Here is a nice pine and walnut wood case Cuckoo Clock here.  Was made by the American Cuckoo Clock Company of Philadelphia, PA.  Has a German movement.  This company used to buy all the pieces from Germany and then assembled the clock here.  This would be considered a Railroad Style Clock.  Nice smaller topper on the case.  Looks like was in 3 pieces at one time and has been glued together.  Pretty good job repairing.

Nice marquetry look on the front of the clock and then under the roof (which is uncommon).  There is a sound hole on each side of the clock.  The pieces to the case are all there, some finish loss.  The two nut finials are in place on the bottom of the case.    Great looking leaf pendulum and wood shaft.  Most of the paper label on the back door for the American Cuckoo Clock Company.

Some information about this maker's clock from folks on the internet; "The American Cuckoo Clock Company was a company that imported the Craftsmen from Germany to manufacture the cuckoo clocks here in the United States as so many of the delicate cases were arriving damaged in transit at the time. Read more about this type of clock in Rick Ortenburger's book, Black Forest Clocks. This clock is no longer available.

We would estimate that this clock dates to the early 1900s.  Nice looking clock face on this clock.  Wood with applied composite numbers.  The clock hands match and look appropriate to the clock.

Nice older brass movement here.  "Made in Germany" is on the back plate at the bottom middle.    The clock movement does have a nice beat to it when wound and sitting on a wall. Most likely a 1 day movement.

The paper bellows are still intact, probably brittle.  But do look to have been replaced in the recent past, not original.  We typically replace with a thin leather product if blown, and something you may want to consider in the future.  That option lasts much longer.  Sometimes you need to put a penny on the wood end to give it enough weight to compress that material and get the appropriate sound.

The gold colored metal chains for the pine cone weights are in place and seem solid. The metal pine cone weights look good, no dings or repairs.  The clock cuckoos once on the half hour and the number of hours on the hour and the bird comes out as expected, when run manually.  The nicely colored bird comes out when the door opens as expected when running on the wall.  So, selling this Cuckoo clock is not running and striking condition at this juncture.

The Antique Cuckoo Clock Case stands 19" tall, by 13" across, by 6" wide.  The clock face is 4-5/8" across.  Obviously the clock is "taller with the weights hanging from the cables, so keep that in mind when picking a spot for the clock. The clock will be partially disassembled to more safely ship it to you.  So, expect some reassembly.  Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.

As can be expected when dealing with an antique clock, some adjustments may be needed after shipping to get the clock re-running correctly again as they can be very delicate.  If you have not had experience with old mechanical clocks before, I would suggest you steer clear.  One really needs to have the patience, and skill to work with these great works of art.  They are not our modern plug in and go, or change the battery clocks.  Please ask any questions relating to this matter, before you decide to purchase it.
We can ship this clock to you.  We will also offer to deliver the clock to you, or the buyer is welcome to make their own packing and shipping arrangements as well. We have had a lot of clients use blanket ship companies like Antiques Express or one of the national moving chains for higher end furniture pieces like this one.  Our clients also use the local UPS store for their packing and shipping needs.

We will also offer to deliver the Clock within 100 miles of Wilmington, DE one way.  Price would be $.50 per mile for the round trip delivery plus any tolls/parking fees.  So, for example, if 40 miles to your property and $10 in tolls, it would be $50 (2*40*.50+$10) for seller to deliver item to you.  Another $50 to set the clock up for you.  You would have had to install a hanger on the wall already.

Make sure that this clock meets your needs and requirements before deciding to acquire it.   The item can be returned, there is a 10% restocking fee to do so.  So, please carefully review all the attached pictures, ask all the questions you have, come see in person or send a friend to see the item on your behalf, prior to deciding to acquire it.  Don't be shy to make an offer, we are always open to reasonable suggestions!
