The fusee movement is of
excellent quality and it has a single piece SOLID, slender Mahogany bezel with
fantastic depth of colour and patina.
The mahogany bezel surrounding the dial is of
particular significance as it is narrow. As later clocks were made, the wooden bezels became
wider and only the finest of clocks retained this classical narrow case style.
This again is an echo of its superior
White painted dial with
Roman numerals with blued steel spayed hands.
The dial is in excellent
original condition and has not been over restored to retain the charm of its
It has a cast brass bezel,
which is another reflection of the exceptional quality of this wonderful
Bevelled glass over dial,
with side release for access to dial.
The fusee movement is
excellent quality and can be accessed via door to base, pendulum can be hung
