Surplus to requirements, comes this impressively large Georgian Mule Chest/Blanket Box c.1800.
The chest is in excellent condition for its age, and offers a huge amount of storage space. It is unusually large measuring: 48" wide 24" deep and 27" high. It has a warm mellow honey colour overall, the wood having naturally faded.
It is lined with Cedar wood, so no moths ! It has a stay fitted to hold the top open, a later fitted lock with working key to the top box. There are two drawers underneath, which have their original handles, but no locks. It has a recessed brass handle on each end.
This chest has been, cleaned and waxed and is ready for a new life, It has an attractive aged patina which reflects its history and looks very interesting and will fit in well into any contemporary environment.
Pick it up yourself or I will reception couriers, and wrap the chest in bubblewrap, but they must inspect the chest on your behalf before taking away, as it would not really be fair or practical for either of us if any issues were raised once it had been delivered. I could also possibly deliver locally for fuel.
Please supersize the images, to make your own mind up as to the condition of the chest.
