This is a beautiful mahogany bracket clock of English manufacture with a chain driven double fusee movement striking the hours on a coiled gong.
The style of this clock is based on a model produced by John Grant of London 100 years earlier.(his clocks of this style sell for approximately £15000 at Auction).
This clock was made circa 1900 by Gillett and Johnson who are still in business today and is of superb quality as can be seen from the pictures.
The movement is superby constructed and the pendulum itself is magnificent.
The clock is in excellent condition with the case recently re French polished.
The movement works perfectly.
