Beautiful long case grandfather clock by William Ingram of Ayr a town in Dumfries, Scotland and was in 8 New Harlet street 1836.
This stunning long case clock is made from mahogany which is a lovely rich colour with a reddish hew and a lovely patina which only comes with polishing .
The dial has the most beautiful paintings. it is very well painted with a basket of flowers in the still arch, and thistles and flowers in each corner, with its original brass fretwork fingers.
It is the original dial to movement to case and comes with original pendulum and a two cast iron weights.
Has beautiful swan necks to the top and turned pillars to the sides of the hood and the rest of the case is a wonderful rich plum pudding mahogany and the most magnificent color .
The movement has been fully services and is ticking away and keeping time it is very clean . over all a very good longcase clock
