"Mr Herbert upholsterer lined this wardrobe for Messers Cookes and Son February 8th 1862".
The above copper plate handwritten inscription was found when the old lining was removed.
This magnificent mid Victorian breakfront wardrobe is comprised of four separate sections: Plinth, cornice, left, centre and right section.
Made exclusively out of oak barring the panelled back and floors which were made out of pine.
This piece needs to be viewed in person to fully appreciate the quality and craftsmanship of this magnificent piece. We can only convey so much online....!
